We make electricity bill validation simple. Here's what you can check:

How It Works

You don't need to be an energy expert to use EnergyCode. Just enter your MPAN (the 21 or 22-digit number on your bill), choose your billing period, and add your consumption data. We'll tell you exactly what you should have been charged based on published industry rates.

Why Now?

Since April 2022, all DNOs have used the same charging methodology (CDCM). This standardisation makes validation possible for the first time. Before CDCM, every region had its own complex rules - comparing bills to tariffs was a nightmare.

We've also seen transmission charges (TNUoS) nearly double with the new RIIO-3 price control period starting April 2026. With network costs rising, catching billing errors matters more than ever.
