22 Layers. Every Charge. One Platform.
14 rate databases, 3 calculation engines, and 5 edge-case systems — maintained, validated, and updated across every regulatory change.
Data Sources
Profile Coefficients
D0018 half-hourly profile data from Elexon. Maps flat meter reads to time-of-use consumption across all 14 GSP regions and 4 profile classes.
DUoS Tariff Rates
Complete DUoS rate tables for all 14 DNOs. Red, Amber, Green unit rates plus fixed, capacity, exceeded capacity, and reactive power charges.
LLFC-to-Tariff Mappings
Maps every Line Loss Factor Class code to one of 32 standardised CDCM tariff categories. Covers 14 DNOs + 22 IDNOs from Elexon ISD.
DNO Time Band Definitions
Red/Amber/Green time band boundaries per DNO per charging year. Defines which half-hours attract peak, shoulder, or off-peak rates.
TNUoS Zonal & TDR Rates
Transmission locational tariffs for all 14 demand zones plus TDR band thresholds across RIIO-2 and RIIO-3. Generation TNUoS across 27 zones coming soon.
BSUoS Rates
Balancing Services rates published in 6-monthly periods (H1 and H2). Applied to total consumption following the CMP361 reform.
Capacity Market Rates
Monthly supplier obligation rates per delivery year. Peak demand multiplied by blended T-4 and T-1 auction rates plus settlement costs.
CfD Levy Rates
Contracts for Difference interim levy rates published quarterly by LCCC, plus operational cost levies applied per MWh of consumption.
CCL Rates
Climate Change Levy rates published by HMRC per charging year. Includes domestic exemption logic and 92% Climate Change Agreement discount rules.
Nuclear RAB Levy Rates
Nuclear Regulated Asset Base interim levy rates published monthly by LCCC, effective December 2025. The charge that funds Sizewell C construction. 100% EII exemption available.
AAHEDC Rates
Assistance for Areas with High Electricity Distribution Costs rates published annually by NESO. A levy on all GB electricity consumption to subsidise distribution in the north of Scotland (SHEPD).
EDCM Site-Specific Tariffs
Extra High Voltage (22kV+) tariffs published in DNO Annexe 2 documents. Each EHV site receives individually calculated rates based on network location and dedicated assets. Import and export charges across all 14 DNOs.
Line Loss Factors
Distribution network loss factors from Elexon ISD. Seasonal time period values for every LLFC code across all 14 DNOs.
MHHS Reference Data (MDD)
Standard Settlement Configurations (SSCs), Time Pattern Regimes (TPRs), and Meter Timeswitch Codes (MTCs) from Market Domain Data. Complete SSC-to-TPR mappings for MHHS settlement.
Calculation Engines
Profile Conversion Engine
Converts total kWh into Red/Amber/Green breakdowns using profile coefficients, DNO time bands, and region-specific calendars. Handles Economy 7 day/night splits.
Cross-Year Boundary Logic
Splits billing periods at charging year boundaries (April and October). Applies different rates per segment with profile-class-aware proration.
MPAN Validation Engine
Validates and parses legacy and MHHS format MPANs. Prime weight check digit algorithm, DNO identification, LLFC extraction, and format detection.
Edge Cases & Calendars
Bank Holiday Calendar
England & Wales plus Scotland bank holidays — different dates, different regions. Bank holidays use off-peak Green rates instead of weekday bands.
BST Transition Handling
BST/GMT clock changes produce 46 or 50 settlement periods instead of 48. Period-to-time mappings shift on transition days.
GSP-to-DNO Mappings
Geographic mapping from Grid Supply Points to DNO regions. Connects the right profile coefficients to the right tariff rates.
Reactive Power & Capacity Logic
Power factor qualification, exceeded capacity detection, and MIC threshold analysis. Automated penalty calculations with tan coefficient formula.
Super Red Time Band Logic
EDCM peak period handling for EHV customers. Super Red applies only during November to February, weekdays 4pm-7pm. Completely different from CDCM's year-round Red/Amber/Green time bands.
